Bremen, GA - April 25, 2024 - It is with heavy hearts that the community of Bremen mourns the passing of Garland Maurice Carothers, a cherished resident who passed away peacefully at Signature Health Care on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the age of 86.

Garland was born on May 30, 1937, to the late Brightsel and Muriel Carothers. He grew up in Bremen, attending local schools and forging lifelong friendships that he cherished until his final days. Known for his unwavering spirit and infectious smile, Garland was a pillar of the community, always eager to lend a helping hand and bring joy to those around him.

In 1957, Garland married the love of his life, Muriel Miller. Together, they journeyed through life, sharing laughter, love, and an unbreakable bond. Garland was a devoted husband and father, providing unwavering support for his family and instilling in them the values of hard work, kindness, and gratitude.
