Pacers Fall to Celtics in Eastern Conference Finals Game 1
Celtics Take 1-0 Lead
Boston Celtics 108, Indiana Pacers 97
The Boston Celtics took an early lead in the Eastern Conference Finals with a 108-97 victory over the Indiana Pacers in Game 1 on Wednesday night. The Celtics were led by Jayson Tatum's 29 points, while Jaylen Brown added 23 points and 11 rebounds.
The Pacers were led by Domantas Sabonis' 24 points and 17 rebounds, but they struggled to keep up with the Celtics' offensive firepower. The Celtics shot 50.6% from the field, while the Pacers shot just 42.9%.
The Celtics also dominated the rebounding battle, outrebounding the Pacers 52-32. The Celtics' size and athleticism proved to be too much for the Pacers, who were playing without injured star Victor Oladipo.
The Celtics will look to take a 2-0 lead in the series when they host the Pacers in Game 2 on Friday night.
