Grigor Dimitrov cruises past Marcos Giron in the first round

Grigor Dimitrov progressed to the second round of the French Open with a straightforward 6-1, 6-1, 6-2 victory over Marcos Giron.

The Bulgarian, who reached the semi-finals at Roland-Garros in 2020, was in impressive form as he broke his American opponent's serve on seven occasions.

Dimitrov will next face Diego Schwartzman, who beat Fernando Verdasco in four sets.
